Thanks to all the club members, the 2010 Centenary Year was a huge success. Commencing with the visit by the Bowls England Executives on May 9th, right through to the last touring team we had great fun and made new friends. The efforts made by Peter Butler to arrange the games and the care shown by all who helped with cakes and lunches was much appreciated by all members and for that we thank you all.

The Bowls England President, Chris Smith dscribed our club as "a hidden paradise", so if you wish to come and enjoy the best setting for a bowls green in Eastbourne then we would welcome your company.

TheĀ  first wood of the year was bowled by the His Worship the Mayor, who showed us all how to do it by hitting the jack! An application form was soon offered!!!

The Chelsea Pensioners visited us for a most enjoyable afternoon and we thoroughly enjoyed their fine company.

Bowls Executives from the Sussex Mens and Ladies played against us and provided some excellent bowling and much enjoyment.

We held our first ever Invitation Triples day, 16 teams visited and played some wonderful games in typical sunshine we come to expect at Motcombe! The day was very successful and it is planned to repeat the event in future years.

Oue Centenary Day was played in Edwardian Costume and despite the intermittent rain we had a great deal of fun.

Below are some of the photos taken of this memorable year, we have too many to show them all here but please take some time to view the slide show on our "HOME" page.
